Intro to Stained Glass – Weekend Course (Day 2 of 3)
October 11, 2025 @ 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm
This course is project-based and is intended for people new to glass work. All the tools and equipment will be provided, but each participant will need to purchase the materials kit ($30) required for their individual project.
The objectives for this course are to:
– Plan a stained glass project
– Cut, grind, and fit glass pieces together to create a design
– Foil and solder pieces together
– Attach a hook to hang your piece
During the class, you will have enough time to make one stained glass panel of your choice (approximately 8×10″). It is important that you choose a pattern and share your idea with Kathy as soon as possible. It is recommended that you choose a pattern with no more than 15 pieces. You can find patterns online by searching “free stained glass patterns” using Google. Alternatively, you can go to the library or pick up a stained glass magazine at Chapters. Please email Kathy a copy of your pattern ASAP.
DATE & TIME
Friday, October 10th from 6-8:30pm as well as Saturday and Sunday (October 11th, 12th) from 12-5pm both days.
