Fusing Fundamentals (day 2)
June 10 6:00 pm 9:00 pm
A beginner’s guide to fusing!
This two-session, 6-hour introductory class will appeal to individuals new to the art of fusing.
If your objective is to design your own fused glass projects for firing in studio kilns; or eventually in your own kiln, this is the perfect way to get started. Within weeks, you will be creating unique pieces of glass art for show, sale, or gifts.
Topics include: safety, COE of fused glass, volume, layering, embellishments, molds, kilns, and firing schedules. At the end of this class, you will have the opportunity to discuss your first solo project with the instructor.
The studio shop tools are available for your use during this class.
The notes for this class are worth the entire cost of the class to new fusers. You will refer back to them throughout your glass journey. They take you directly to video resources and the suppliers that most fusers prefer to use.
Your instructor, Anna Mather, has taught fused glass to beginners for several years both in Arizona and Lethbridge.
