Fused Glass Garden Lanterns

Here’s your chance to create a beautiful garden lantern using vitrograph, freeze and fuse elements of flowers, leaves, birds, and butterflies, as well as glass nuggets and frit. 

This class is for anyone who wants to create a beautiful original usable art piece. There are no prerequisites for this class – just register, come and have fun. Each participant will create a 4-sided lantern that will be finished with fairy lights. This course will run with 8 participants, up to a maximum of 12 participants.

This class is hosted by Mercy Robertson glass fuser and LSGA member. Mercy has a passion for glass. She fearless and constantly attempting new ideas and experimenting with all things glass.

LOCATION

Lethbridge Society of Glass Artisans Studio at McNally Community Center / McNally Artist Studios, just past Evergreen Golf Course (see map here or on the Location page of this website).
Please enter from the North, ground-level door at the back (East/parking lot) side of the building. There is an LSGA sign on this door.

REGISTRATION & INSTRUCTOR INFORMATION

Cost is $100 per student per lantern. Cost includes all supplies and fairy lights to create one lantern. There are no additional costs for this project.

To register, please email Mercy at macquah@shaw.ca  with your name, cell phone number, and email address. A $60 deposit is required to hold your spot with the remainder due on the day of the class.  Full refund if you have to cancel.

OTHER DETAILS

For safety reasons, closed toe shoes are required in the studio.

Please be aware that this is a working studio and there is a possibility that LSGA members may at times access the space during a class.

Memberships in the Lethbridge Society of Glass Artisans are only $75.00 and come with many benefits, including early access to class registration.
