Enjoying Stained Glass: Day (8wks)

This Stained Glass Class is designed to teach people how to choose or create a design; cut glass; wrap it in lead came or copper foil and solder it together to produce a finished hanging or standing stained glass item. No experience is required. Beginners will soon learn the techniques used by the experienced returning artisans.
Arrangements can be made with Liz for some pre-class support with a $10 kit which
will offer the skills required for the class.
Liz Allen has been creating, repairing and teaching stained glass for over 40 years. She is a long-standing member of the Lethbridge Society of Glass Artisans.

**THREE DIFFERENT CLASS OPTIONS ARE BEING OFFERED**

OPTION ONE: Tuesday DAYS: January 6 – February 24th, 2026 from 10:45am-12:45pm

OR

OPTION TWO: Tuesday EVENINGS: January 6 – February 24th from 7-9pm

OR

OPTION THREE: Thursday EVENINGS: January 8 – February 26th from 7-9pm

REGISTRATION & INSTRUCTOR INFORMATION

EIGHT WEEK REGISTRATION FEE $250.00

All the tools such as grinders, soldering irons, grozing pliers, glass cutters and other
equipment will be provided at the studio.
Supplies required will be Glass (available at the studio for students to purchase for $20.00/square foot)
Other supplies will be made available by the instructor and include:
– 1 roll of 60/40 Solder (approximately $25.00 per spool)
– 1 roll of copper foil (approximately $15 per roll) or U channel lead Came
Reliable sources for supplies will be discussed in class.
Students will also be required to bring their own pencil, pen, graph paper, a permanent sharpie marker, Mac Tac paper, and a smooth plywood work board with an L-shaped solid border that fits your project.

OTHER DETAILS

For safety reasons, closed toe shoes are required in the studio.

Please be aware that this is a working studio and there is a possibility that LSGA members may at times access the space during a class.
