Create Fused Glass Embellishments – Merrill Wight & Denise Marcotte $75
February 23 @ 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
If you have taken an introductory fused glass class and want to take glass fusing to the next level then this workshop is for you! We’ve learned that part of the fun of fused glass is creating your own embellishments. We’d love to share what we’ve learned to help you create beautiful, unique art pieces. In this workshop students will learn how to:
- Create details with freeze and fuse
- Use modeling glass in molds
- Use modeling glass to create freestyle, unique designs.
- Use Glassline paint
- Create glass wafers using powder.
- Learn tips for creating and using glass stringers
Students will take home a variety of embellishments for future projects.
Denise Marcotte has been working with kiln formed glass for a few years. She enjoys exploring the creative possibility of fused glass using powders and enamels and using them to build mainly landscapes and nature themes.
Merrill Wight loves working with fused glass and a variety of mediums to enhance her creations. Creating unique embellishments has allowed a new level of creativity.
Come and learn with us as we share our passion in glass.
