Christmas in Lead Came

Pack a lunch and spend the day making quick and easy Christmas ornaments and/or stands.  Bring a friend, co-worker, or family member… Have some fun! You will learn to wrap pre-cut glass with hobby came and then solder it together for a unique one-of-a-kind masterpiece.   Over two dozen different designs are offered in kit forms.

Project:  Participants will have the opportunity to complete up to six Christmas or other themed ornaments or up to three larger hanging pieces.  Great for gifts or personal use.

Cost of Class: $80.00 registration & kit costs

Additional costs: Participants can choose any number of kits from a wide variety priced from $5 to $20 and will include the lead and all the embellishments. The finished project will more than double the value of their piece. Kit payments will be paid the day of the course.

Your Instructor: Liz Allen has had over forty years of experience in making, teaching, and repairing stained glass in both lead and copper foil processes.  She is a long-standing member of the LSGA.

Location: Lethbridge Society of Glass Artisans Studio at McNally Community Center, just past Evergreen Golf Course (see map on the Location page of our website). Please enter from the North, ground-level door at the back (East/parking lot) side of the building. There is an LSGA sign on this door. For safety reasons, closed-toe shoes are required in the studio, and long pants are recommended.

Other Details:

• All tools and equipment (grinders, soldering irons, glass cutters, cutting boards, kilns) are provided for you while you are in class at the LSGA Studio.
