PLEASE SEE BELOW TO ASK TO BE PUT ON THE WAITLIST** \n\n\n\nThis course is open to anyone with a love for glass.  Kiln Sculpting is a simple but effective technique that requires cutting or carving a pattern with fiber paper (special paper used in glass fusing that can withstand the high temperatures of a glass kiln). You place a piece of transparent glass over your carved fiber paper and fire both together to create a 3-dimensional piece of glass art. To create details\, you can use cuts and layering of your fiber paper.  \n\n\n\nAll equipment will be supplied and included in the cost of the class. Students will be notified via email when their art piece is ready to be picked up. \n\n\n\nDATE/TIME\n\n\n\n\nFriday\, March 21st from 6-9pm        OR\n\n\n\nMonday\, March 31st from 6-9pm\n\n\n\n\nLOCATION\n\n\n\nLethbridge Society of Glass Artisans Studio at McNally Community Center just past Evergreen Golf Course (see map on the Location page of this website). \n\n\n\nINSTRUCTOR & REGISTRATION INFORMATION\n\n\n\nWORKSHOP REGISTRATION FEES $50.00 per person for 1 class. DESCRIPTION:This Stained Glass Class is designed to teach people of all levels of expertise how to choose or create a design\, cut glass\, wrap your piece in lead came or copper foil and solder it together to produce a finished stained glass item that can be hung or stood up for decoration. Beginners will soon learn the skills required by experienced glass artisans. \n\n\n\nAll the tools such as grinders\, soldering irons\, grozing pliers\, glass cutters and other equipment will be provided at the studio. SUMMARY:LSGA Monthly Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Come join us each month to talk about all things glass! Our monthly meetings are held at our McNally studio and are also typically followed by a potluck for any members who wish to participate. Please bring your own plate and cutlery if joining in the potluck.  \n\n\n\nEach meeting includes both a show-and-share portion for anybody who has projects to show or ask about\, and an Education portion for free learning opportunities. Many informal “ask an expert” sessions take place at and after our meetings\, and suggestions and/or volunteers for the Education portion are always welcome.
