DESCRIPTION:Here’s your chance to create a beautiful garden lantern using vitrograph\, freeze and fuse elements of flowers\, leaves\, birds\, and butterflies\, as well as glass nuggets and frit.  \n\n\n\nThis class is for anyone who wants to create a beautiful original usable art piece. There are no prerequisites for this class – just register\, come and have fun. Each participant will create a 4-sided lantern that will be finished with fairy lights. This course will run with 8 participants\, up to a maximum of 12 participants. \n\n\n\nThis class is hosted by Mercy Robertson glass fuser and LSGA member. Mercy has a passion for glass. She fearless and constantly attempting new ideas and experimenting with all things glass.  \n\n\n\nDATE & TIME\n\n\n\nFriday\, April 17th from 6-9:30pm \n\n\n\nLOCATION\n\n\n\nLethbridge Society of Glass Artisans Studio at McNally Community Center / McNally Artist Studios\, just past Evergreen Golf Course (see map here or on the Location page of this website).Please enter from the North\, ground-level door at the back (East/parking lot) side of the building. With step-by-step instruction and all tools and materials provided\, you’ll learn the essential techniques for working with sheet glass\, frit\, stringers\, and glass powders. You’ll also gain an understanding of firing schedules and why different temperatures and timings matter in the kiln. No previous experience is required — just relax\, create\, and enjoy the process.
